whats been going on

Its Almost 2022

2020 and 2021 have not been the easiest of years for anyone. For those of us in the horse world,
its seen training restricted to home ground and competitions cancelled. This does seem to have
affected rider and horse confidence with entries to events being very low.

For 2022 we have lots of training planned covering all disciplines. Get booked in early and lets
have a great competitve year in 2022 and keep everything crossed restrictions continue to ease.

Keep an eye on the website for qualifier and championship dates - the 2022 dates are starting to be released
We look forward to seeing you out and about - remember to support the events run by the club as this helps towards
funding of training, qualifiers and championships

IMPORTANT NEWS

CHAMPIONSHIP FEES

In previous years the club has funded the entry fees for any member that has qualified to compete at a Championship. However with the ever increasing costs of these events and also the fantastic number of our members that are qualifying we are no longer able to sustain this as a club. We have kept our membership fees as low as possible and to make it fair to all members from 2016 competition year we will ask members to fund 50% of the championship fee. This still represents a great return on investment for your £25 membership fee. The committee hopes that you appreciate our position on this topic but if you have any concerns or questions then do direct them to our Chair on chairman@huntingdonrc.co.uk

ARENA ETIQUETTE

Just a polite reminder. When visiting a venue for an event or training arranged by the Club, please remember to pick up your horse's droppings, especially from inside the arena. Spectators too are requested to help their team mates, and the Club, by ensuring droppings are collected. It is very important that you do this, as not doing so reflects badly on the whole Club and could lead to the Club being banned from using the venue in future. Thank you.

FUND RAISING

For each qualifier event, the club has to pay a preliminary entry fee - these vary in cost but the minimum is generally 9.00 per entry. In order to sustain this it is essential that we raise funds throughout the year. This can be from running qualifier events ourselves, running socials or running other competitions such as the Hunter Trial. But we can only do this if members help out and also take part. If we can't keep funds coming into the club then we won't be able to fund the competitions which would be a real shame so please do support your club.
